Mission Statement of the
Family Readiness Group
|
The North Carolina National
Guard defines our purpose as: "Family Support is the mutual help and emotional
support that family members provide to each other, most often in the form of
unit Family Readiness Groups (FRGs). FRGs provide family support by giving
comfort and information to guard members, their families and friends during
periods of normal military life, but especially during times of separation due
to schools, annual training, training exercises and mobilizations".
Although FRGs can be structured in many different ways, their common
goal is to serve the needs of the units and their families.
